Examples of Past Campaigns
Santa Barbara County had a history of defeating ballot proposals to bring in the state water pipeline. For years, no-growthers had successfully rallied around the slogan "More water equals more growth." Political analysts were expecting yet another defeat of state water when proposals hit the ballot in six different local water districts. They were wrong.
W&M put together one of the most effective grassroots campaigns organized in Santa Barbara County. Our coalition phone-banked and knocked on doors throughout the county. Powerful messages were delivered through direct mail advertising and a highly effective vote-by-mail program. Once again, against the odds, W&M pulled off a victory in all six districts.
